At some point we all have to learn lessons the hard way. If I were to take a journey like this and the goal was to travel just from point a to point B, I would’ve missed the point entirely. Traveling down the river I have learned no matter how many times I look at a map it doesn’t change the distance I am from the destination. Already I have experienced God’s grace, gracious people and an overwhelming sense of determination that stems from a seemingly insurmountable task. The most powerful movement that has occurred to me so far is a sense of freedom, not free from obligation, not free from necessity but, freedom from propriety and that is a feeling that makes any hard journey worthwhile.
