Half the Battle

After two years of planning, I finally made the journey, to captain the 2320 mile expedition down the Mississippi River (15 driving 25 hours awake). Making it this far feels like half the battle is over. Tomorrow is when I float off but first, I’d like to thank everyone who supported this ludicrous dream of mine. A goal of this trip is to show how possible it is to reach beyond the comfort zones of monotony. It seems to me most people are inspired by the world around them, but don’t want to risk for the joys of exploration. Hell yea I’m terrified, excited but most of all grateful. However this trip may turn out, I could never be more awed at the prayers and support. Thank you all for the letters, financial support πŸ™‚ and the faith. I may have started alone, but I get the privilege of taking you all with me. Capain YakSparrow Out πŸ˜‰

Praying for you. Have the adventure of a lifetime, and watch out for eddies and undertow. Hiked much along the mighty Mississippi as a child and young girl. It will be the adventure of a lifetime!
